HIGH PRESSURE HAS MOVED TO IDHAO AND NEVADA DUE TO A WARM FRONT THAT IS BRINGING HEAVY RAIN AND SNOW TO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST ONCE AGAIN ALTHOUGH THIS STORM WILL NOT BE AS STRONG AS LAST WEEKS. THERE IS A WEAK LOW OVER THE SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO REGION THAT AT THIS MOMENT DOES NOT HAVE MUCH POTENTIAL TO DEEPEN SIGNIFICANTLY (BY 15 MILLIBARS).

SURFACE ANALYSIS FOR THE PACIFIC SHOWS THAT HIGH PRESSURE IS STILL DOMINATING THE WEATHER NEAR BAJA CALIFORNIA, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND MUCH OF THE NORTHWEST PACIFIC OCEAN. A LARGE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM (964 MB, 53N135W) WHICH IS PRODUCING HURRICANE FORCE WINDS WILL MOVE TOWARDS THE ANCHORAGE AREA. MEANWHILE, ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM (966 MB, 48N149W) SHOULD MAKE LANDFALL IN THE ALASKA PANHANDLE REGION TOMORROW.
