TROPICAL STORM MARIA ADVISORY 7
NWS HCW/HURRICANE CENTER WIKI AL142011
2000 UTC WED SEP 14 2011

DiscussionEdit

Maria has improved in organization today. Her center of circulation is a little to the west of the deepest convection however she remains poorly stacked. Dry air and shear have been lessening considerably however she will have to survive the cold wake left by Katia during the time where shear and dry air will be the lowest. The models show good agreement that Maria will be a minimal hurricane despite the cold wake left by Katia and the intensity forecast shows this. She is currently expected to head northward and brush Bermuda and then head to Newfoundland and later be absorbed by a cold front over Canada.
