ATLANTIC TROPICAL CYCLONE
TROPICAL STORM MARIA ADVISORY 2
NWS HCW/HURRICANE CENTER WIKI AL142011
1400 UTC FRI SEP 09 2011

DiscussionEdit

Maria continues to be relatively disorganized. A large convective flareup has caused her to gain strength however the system continues to be poorly vertically stacked. The shear is lessening due to an anticyclone over Maria however the shear is still moderate. Dry air does not seem to be a problem at this time and the storm should continue to steadily gain strength over the next few days.
