ATLANTIC TROPICAL CYCLONE
TROPICAL STORM MARIA ADVISORY 1
NWS HCW/HURRICANE CENTER WIKI AL142011
0200 UTC FRI SEP 09 2011

DiscussionEdit

This is the first advisory initiating Maria. It has existed before this advisory. Maria continues to be disorganized tonight while maintaining a quick forward motion towards the Lesser Antilles. The low level circulation has been covered with deep convection however the system is not very well stacked. This system is under a moderate amount of shear due to the outflow of Katia which should be lessening over the next day or two. Dry air does not seem to be an immediate concern and the storm should start strengthening again soon.
