DiscussionEdit

Tropical Storm Nate continues to consume the dry air that currently exists in the Gulf of Mexico. A crescent-shaped ring of convection can be seen on satellite imagery, and intensity appears to be holding. Nate seems to have a well defined circulation center, and is drifting slowly due west, although accelerating. Shear and other conditions seem to be conducive for development but dry air is destroying Nate, and as such it is only predicted to be a minimal hurricane.
